Two Hillcrest Homes developments have been shortlisted in the finals of the prestigious 2016 Northern Design Awards.
Riverside Place, a development of thirteen Georgian inspired townhouses off King Street in Knutsford is a finalist in the ‘Best New Build’ category and ‘Residenza‘, a development of fourteen contemporary townhouses on George Leigh Street in Ancoats, is in the finals for ‘Best Architectural Design Concept’. Both developments were designed in close partnership with Calderpeel Architects and sold out off plan prior to completion.
Says Michael Kennedy, Managing Director of Hillcrest Homes; “To have made it through to the finals of this year’s awards for not one but two projects is a real honour because the competition is so fierce.
“We’re particularly pleased to be attending the awards with our friends at Calderpeel. We’ve worked with the team there for a very long time and have produced some truly fantastic homes of which we are all immensely proud. If we succeed in either category it will be a fantastic victory for the collective,” he adds.
The Northern Design Awards is an annual awards ceremony celebrating residential and commercial property design excellence. The event boasts an esteemed judging panel of world-renowned designers, including Wayne Hemmingway, Linda Barker, George Bond, Nick Munro and HRH Princess Katarina, amongst many others.
Finalists will attend a glittering awards ceremony at The Royal Armouries in Leeds on Friday 11th November where the winners of each of the 29 categories will be announced.
Andrew Lightfoot, a Director at Calderpeel Architects, added: “Its fantastic news to have made it through to the finals for our work on Residenza and to also have our designs for Riverside Place acknowledged in the ‘Best New Build’ category. They are very different styles of development but have both proved equally successfully commercially for Hillcrest Homes. It would be amazing to have the projects recognised in these awards.”
