New Show Home Launched at The Warren

Work on The Warren, a development of 31 new homes on Whalley Road in Hurst Green is progressing at pace, as seen in new aerial images released by award-winning luxury homebuilder, Hillcrest Homes.

The Warren offers an irresistible combination of bespoke architecture, locally sourced materials, a superb specification and breath-taking views out towards Pendle Hill.

A third of the development has been reserved off plan with the first of the new homeowners moving in late Summer. Now, to offer potential buyers a flavour of what life in a Hillcrest home in this lovely location could be like, Hillcrest has launched a new show home which is open to view on selected weekends and by appointment via Honeywells Estate Agents in Clitheroe.

The Warren offers homes suited to buyers at all life stages, including four- and five-bedroom detached homes, three-bedroom semi-detached homes, two- and three-bedroom terraced homes and two-bedroom bungalows. Several properties are available to purchase via Home Reach, the nationwide part-buy-part-rent home ownership initiative, and are priced from £156,000 (for a 60% share).

The new five-bedroom show home has been professionally dressed in the latest home décor trends by Hillcrest’s interior design experts and showcases the high standard of specification offered. With stunning dual aspect views, a fantastic SieMatic kitchen, three large reception spaces and a south facing patio within landscaped front and rear gardens, the home is as equally suited to entertaining as it is to families looking to enjoy together time, as well as follow independent pursuits.

In keeping with the company philosophy to deliver ‘design-led’ developments, Hillcrest has worked with York based architects, PRA, to craft several different styles of home at The Warren, each unique to the location.

Hillcrest Sales Manager, Simone Milner, explains, “Each of the homes has been designed from scratch to suit its location within the development and in the wider context of the village of Hurst Green and the Ribble Valley. We wanted to give The Warren an air of maturity and a sense of belonging to the landscape, as if it had grown organically over time.

“To achieve this visually, we’ve incorporated both ivory render and natural sandstone into the build, varied the window styles and colour finishes and added areas of mature planting. The internal layout of each home has also been designed to take full advantage of the natural light and stunning views. Of course, for the new homes to truly be in harmony with their environment, both aesthetically and ecologically, it was important to use locally sourced materials, such as ‘Stonyhurst Buff’ sandstone from nearby Leeming Quarry,” she adds.

The new aerial images show how well each of the homes sits within the development and how a new village green, centred around a stunning 200-year-old Ash tree, will provide residents with an attractive communal space to socialise.

Says Simone, “The development will have a lovely wide, open feel to it and the new village green will contribute to this. We hope it is a space that will be enjoyed and utilised all year round by residents, whether it’s for picnics and playtime in the summer or carols around the Ash tree at Christmas.”

Visitors to the new show home will be able to admire the superior standard of finish and specification offered across the development, which includes a choice of stunning SieMatic kitchens incorporating integrated Neff appliances from Read based kitchen designers, Stuart Frazer. Other designer influences include bathrooms and en suites from Villeroy & Boch with brassware by Vado.

As the development is south facing, many of the homes are fitted with photovoltaics, allowing residents to generate their own electricity and reduce reliance on the grid. Other larger properties benefit from Air Source Heating offering homeowners the opportunity to benefit from the Government’s new renewable heat incentive.

The picturesque Lancashire village of Hurst Green is just four miles from Whalley and Clitheroe and is one of the most desirable in the Ribble Valley due to its stunning countryside views, great walks, excellent accessibility and three primary and secondary schools rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted on the doorstep, including esteemed independent school Stonyhurst College.
