CPUK, contractor for Hillcrest Homes’ The Warren in Hurst Green, has visited local primary school, St Joseph’s, to educate budding creators on design, building and site safety.
The children particularly enjoyed donning hard hats and high visibility vests for a tour of the site, asking lots of great questions to keep the adults on their toes.
Said Simone Milner, Sales Manager at Hillcrest Homes, “The school is right next door to the site so we were delighted to be invited with our partners, CPUK, to chat to the children and spark their interest in the building industry. They certainly kept us busy with their enquiring minds and, who knows, maybe we have some budding developers in our midst!”
The Warren is set in Hurst Green, one of the Ribble Valley’s most picturesque villages, and offers 30 characterful new build homes to suit a broad range of homebuyers. From the two-bedroom bungalows, to the four or five-bedroom homes, each has been designed exclusively for The Warren and is inspired by the location and local architecture. Properties will be constructed in natural materials sourced locally where possible, including ‘Stonyhurst Buff Sandstone’, which is supplied by Leeming Quarry in nearby Stonyhurst.
As part of the development, both the developer and contractor has worked closely with St Joseph’s to ensure minimal disruption. This includes creating a new temporary drop-off and pick-up zone for the school at the front of the site, as well as delivering a new football pitch across the road when the development is complete for budding Premiership players to practise their skills.
The Warren is the first Ribble Valley based development by leading luxury homebuilder, Hillcrest Homes, part of the Nikal Group. The business was established in Cheshire in 1985 and has established a reputation for excellence as well as winning numerous build quality awards for developments across the county and in South Manchester and Manchester city centre.
The Warren will be released for sale in September with the first homes ready to move into as early as February 2019 and full scheme completion due by the Summer.
